Teaching

My approach to teaching is centered on three main goals: develop students’ critical thinking skills, strengthen students’ confidence in their own abilities, and foster students’ curiosity in the political world around them. My students leave my courses with new knowledge on key topics in political science and new skills to help them achieve academic and professional success. I prioritize inclusivity in my teaching through the implementation of inclusive class policies in all my courses and the creation of a welcoming, encouraging classroom environment.

During graduate school, I completed a Certificate In Teaching and Learning through Rice University’s Center for Teaching Excellence.
